I'm re-reading "Dog Soldiers" by Robert Stone at the moment and I'm avoiding bed as it gives me nightmares.

Not at all
I watched the film assuming it was based on the book but it's not.

I don't like recommending literature because we all have different tastes but if you like a thought provoking read Robert Stone is yer man.

The film "Leaving Las Vegas" was very loosely based around Stones' "Hall of Mirrors" although that was set in New Orleans. One of my ten best ever books.
