Pleasant surprise = at a wedding at the week my gf sang two solos
she used to be a professional opera singer in Milan & it was the first time she had sang in public for a long time. Also the first time I had heard her sing in front of an audience (she has sang to me 1:1 before). Biased yes, but her voice was amazing.

I used to sing solos at the church, but I'm too shy to sing in front of anyone, I've only sang for Mark once... I can imagine she must have been very nervous; it's fantastic that she's been able to do it again!

She was nervous & had rehearsed a lot. Sang a Puccini piece & some Mozart. The accoustics in the chuch were great.
The wedding was videoed so I am hoping to get a copy

She was a professional singer until the age of 30. Got tired of living abroad & it would meant starting again to build a profile back in the UK which she didn't want to do
