either to stay with some friends in new york
or my dad has membership of this holiday club thing that has apartments all over europe, so maybe madeira or tuscany or somewhere depending on where would still be hot, as that would be free.

i'd prefer new york but my friend jane is a bit cash-strapped, so will depend more on her.
