Sat in the West Stand at Headingley
Got roaring drunk and watched England beat Pakistan not very convincingly.

Still roaring drunk but it's starting to wear off. Banished to the spare room by irritable other half.

Winning 'not very convincingly' is part of the new plan isn't it?
If it was too obvious, someone would notice.

Why has your other half got a cob on?

Because I'm ratarsed.
I've been to cricket for fuck's sake! I've had to put up with Pakistan taking ages over every innings. Of course I'm pissed - it's the only way you can get through a day.

Actually Pakistan were the better team today. Despite all the bad stuff they've been through they worked well, which is why I say that our win wasn't convincing. We didn't really deserve it.

She should embrace the drunk bloke.
Seriously. If she can't see the brilliance in having a bloke that drunk, there is something wrong with her.

Does she not realise you've been on a cricketing Leo Sayer yet you STILL went back to her?

Well it's my house
It's probably a bit like The Shining for her, except instead of "Here's Johnny" I've been stomping about shouting "Bresnan Bresnan."

She's a Swansea City supporter. She should be quite used to this sort of stuff.
