I'm not advocating continuing to kill things like wolves for their furbut vintage ones should be enjoyed, otherwise it makes it even worse that they were killed.

Rubbish.It was originally killed to make a fashion item and to keep wearing it as a fashion item would be wrong regardless of how old it is.
