I did actually. He certainly didn't shite all over the memory like I anticipated. (High praise indeed!)
I actually gave a signed copy to my dad, cause he was the one who was responsible for my H2G2 love, due to playing the LP - LP! - of the radio series at us repeatedly throughout childhood.

I think Dad did think it shat all over the memory though. Bugger.
