My parents have a knack
Of getting me something I didn't ask for, despite clear instructions. I said I wanted a watch with a thick leather strap, and showed them some examples from Fossil.
They bought me a very nice Fossil watch that was perfect, except it had a thin, weedy strap. I was able to exchange it for the one I wanted though.
If I give them 3 examples of something I want, they'll buy a 4th, same price (I'm not cheeky and ask for expensive things, unlike my sister) but completely dissimilar to the examples I'd chosen.
