actually it's not my undoing. it's about the only thing I budget for.
my question is: I've been out giving a presentation and hosting a workshop this morning and have had to make the unusual step of wearing a tie. I am now back in the office. Should I lose the tie or maintain an out of character smart appearance for the rest of the day?

Or else they will start expecting you to wear one all the time.

If you feel awkward with it on, get rid and play the rebel card.

don't feel awkward though. it's a hard decision.

Shirt untucked, no tie etc. Sometimes I'll come in with shirt, tie and waistcoat and look the business, but I don't do it that often, and it's always randomly.

have gone for some smart black trousers. I almost put a waistcoat on as well, but think that would have been too much of a shock to my colleagues, considering I normally wear a shirt and cords, and often trainers.
