All the unis have just started back, and I'm sitting teaching myself about engineering things. Damn brain and it's desire to learn.

(if you've already been) what course would you choose?

Either that or a degree in sound production. And yes, I've just graduated.

I think I'd do modern languages or an English literature degree. I did physics.

I'm reading about CFD just now, which is kind of physics-ish. Just what you need for a Thursday night.

they always have really sweet graphics. Do you want to do stuff like this for aerospace engineering?
(, Thu 23 Sep 2010, 20:56, Reply)
It's close to what I did at uni, which involved making sweet looking models, but I had to teach myself CFD in 5th year for a project, and now looking at going for a job in it in aerospace and building and transport airflows and things.

is all this renewable energy malarky throwing up any opportunities?
(, Thu 23 Sep 2010, 21:14, Reply)
I know a few folk who went off to do Masters in environmental engineering or renewables last year; there's certainly plenty focus on it these days, most engineering companies have at least some focus on energy saving and environmental kindness.

Wave, and more specifically tidal, really are where it's going to be at once people realise the actual potential they have.
