I was a little bit scared by almost driving head on into a Land Rover Defender on a single lane country road near Woolacombe. High hedges both sides, and he was clearly going faster than he ought, but thankfully for me both our vehicles had decent brakes.

I have bodyguards.
My male housemates have offered to escort me to and from the bus stop after dark.
But to be honest, none of them are particularly built, I think my flail would be more useful. But it's nice to feel protected.
