I've got friends who work for some old banking houses
And shirts with pockets are not acceptable. Likewise, should they ever have a 'dress down day' that just means you can take your tie off.

Definitely. When I was corporate I embraced it fully. No I am a tramp but there are rules. Dress down day for me was cords, brogues, smart shirt, fitted smart jumper.
