My Italian auntie (friend of the family) always said it to me.

You have an Italian auntie?
From which part of Italy?
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 12:56, Reply)
no she is just good friends with my mum
but as we have known her from when we were babies we call her auntie. Think she was from Sardinia originally, can't remember.

I have an Italian at home now
one of my brother's friends. He keeps telling stories about the mafia and that. It's quite funny.

I know
I've been there several times, and this guy keeps inviting us to go next year. I need more holidays now!!

I love how you said "and that" at the end there
it's such a northern colloquial thing to say!
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 13:18, Reply)
Is it?
It's very Spanish, and I find myself using my country colloquialism and being understood, which is very nice.
