Oh, I know that
I've never done anything like that, but a friend of mine started cycling and he'd do around 30km/day and still managed to put on more fat, as he'd eat a lot after each day.

It is also my favourite time of year for food which doesn't help - too much game with goose fat roast potatoes and rich sauces

Oh, yes
And I'm looking forward to the turrón and polvorones. Mmmm

Very nice.

I know
They're too good. There are a thousand different types of turrón too, not only that one in wiki. For example:

It's impossible to resist.

I have just put on half a stone just looking at those images
*slobbers*

Ay...
It's going to be like that all of December, all the way to my wedding. No turrón for me this year, no, no, no... (we'll see...)

Word to the wise:
Beef dripping has pretty much the same effect as goose fat and is a meagre fraction of the price, due to it not being fashionable amongst 4x4-driving organic twats who actually listen to what Nigella Lawson says as opposed to just watching her tits jiggle.

Good point, I get my goose fat for free from a mate otherwise I would use a combination of beef dripping and vegetable oil

(, Fri 8 Oct 2010, 9:28, Reply)
Ah, well of course, if you've got a friend who melts geese anyway then go for it.

Poultry farmer. I like the taste of beef dripping - might buy some of that for this Sunday.

Brussells sprouts blanched and then stirfried in in the beef roasting dish
were the surprise hit of my Christmas dinner a couple of years back.

I like the sound of that. I have made yorkshire pudding in the base of the beef roasting tin before which worked pretty well
are we gearing up for a food thread?
