Fanks :)
do you like autobiographies? Stephen Fry's is supposed to be really good.

Funnily enough I read a fiction by Stephen Fry only recently
and I hated it. He was just using it as a platform to use as many long and unusual words as possible. Plus there was horse fuckery. For serious.

But his autobiography might be better because he's had a pretty interesting life. I shall add it to the list, thanks badge.

Which one was that? I have a couple of his fiction books but don't remember any horse fuckery.

The Walrus, I think, is the one with the horse porn in.

Ah. I have only read The Liar and The Stars Tennis Balls.

My friend has just lent me Liar because she said it was really good
so I thought I'd give him another shot.

It was his first book and I think his best (except for his autobiographies)

The Hippopotamus.
but, meh, one blubbery semi-aquatic tusky thing is much the same as another ;)
(, Wed 13 Oct 2010, 12:04, Reply)
It's the Hippopotamus
EDIT: belm, what Badger said. What did you all think of his books?
(, Wed 13 Oct 2010, 12:13, Reply)
Yes, that one. I liked it.
It's the only one of his I've read, though.

ha sound slike Monty would have loved it
for the long words... maybe for the horse porn
(, Wed 13 Oct 2010, 11:56, Reply)
Damn right. Although Will Self annoys me.

The Hippopotamus?
That's a cracking book.
(, Wed 13 Oct 2010, 12:02, Reply)
I didn't think so
It wasn't dreadful, but I just felt sometimes he was showing off. I liked the sort of twist at the end, but it wasn't really worth it.

Dr John's autobiography is utterly brilliant.
