not great, but considering I learned everything in about six hours, it could've gone worse. How was your day?
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 0:42, Reply)
I have the mother of all hangover headaches, but it got better.
Done anything fun today?
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 0:44, Reply)
did a bit of looking round town, and cancelled going to this birthday party because I was so unbelievably tired
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 0:53, Reply)
as trance-rock or something stupid. Friend sent me a couple of songs, not my usual stuff but not bad either

having listened, that really isn't my cuppa

and I can play the proper version of that loud. It's the small things that make life worthwhile.

made me check if there was anything running in the background

quite christmas-single and then the slightly porno sounds in the background

a good way of telling if I'm drunk is to see if I've linked to that track

you're far more coherent than our other currently posting drunk

whereabouts, we used to have a house near alicante.
dinner was good ta, jeff, although my friends insisted on doing that "joint venture" thing where they swopped halfway through which makes me, with my utter horror of shared food/double dipping/saliva/leftovers want to retch...
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 0:55, Reply)
Why on earth would anyone want to give it away?
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:05, Reply)
leftovers is fucking rank. urgh!
in fact, even your own. if i open a pot of houmous in the morning, i won't keep it - it goes in the bin when i've had enough, and that's that!
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:07, Reply)
I don't like wasting food, but if I've roasted a chicken, I won't have a cold chicken salad the following day.
It's done.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:11, Reply)
But (and I know you don't eat animal), I'd rather buy two chicken breasts than buy a whole chicken and waste some of it.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:16, Reply)
But cooking a whole bird tastes better (providing it's been properly looked after)
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:38, Reply)
our house was on the coast, halfway between alicante and valencia, it was stunning. i really miss it!
i've only been to puerto banus in marbella, is that near you?
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:00, Reply)
dont go out there much in the evenings though, it's full of weird people, all prostitutes and perverts after dark
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:02, Reply)
so what do you do out there, apart from ogling los breastos?
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:04, Reply)
Linekers bar is my favourite place to avoid, hate to be a snob, but really, what a bunch of cunts.
Marbella itself is a little run down at the moment, it's like the Margate of Spain, though they are working on changing that.
Err, I work with an entrepreneur type.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:08, Reply)
we'd been offered coke by 3 different bouncers before we even hit the bar. not great.
an entrepreneur.... ah, so you are one of the coke-dealing bouncers, eh?!

I skipped going to the party because I was so tired, but will go out tomorrow to make up for it. Doing some ebay shopping at the moment, and just saw a oat I was on theoutnet.com

colin the caterpillar marshmallows on the misguided basis they are fatfree and watching "men behaving badly". so far it's not working but i'm trying!
my friend from my masters course is at a sub-fusc ball in oxford tonight, do you go to that sort of thing?
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:01, Reply)
Have 'men behaving badly' on the telly box. Are the Colin the Caterpiller 'mallows from M&S?
M&S do some nice sweets.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:04, Reply)
the vanilla/strawberry/chocolate ones.
when i was younger and had short hair, a few people said i looked like a (thinner and younger!) caroline quentin. i HATED it. i look fuck-all like her!!!
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:05, Reply)
A bit 'lunchy' but not unattractive.
I've been told I look like Roger Black by 100's of people.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:07, Reply)
4 Sausage rolls from Greggs, and eating then all when I say 'lunchy'. No stranger to the inside of a cake shop.
Apparently my face and mannerisms are very similar. I don't see it myself.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:14, Reply)
er, you just called me fat. i can't believe this.
how hurtful. accurate, maybe, but hurtful.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:25, Reply)
I've never seen you (and the amount of PINK exercise equipment you've got would suggest otherwise anyway).
I was mearly saying that a young Quentin was quite attractive.
You wouldn't even go to Greggs, let alone have 4 sausage rolls.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:28, Reply)
and i could still hear "areet muffin-top". so you can't win.
the punchy boxy tube is chocolate brown leather. so that is the definitive gym colour now, sadly!
true, very true. i spend enough of my working life fighting with greggs, as it happens!
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:33, Reply)
I've never heard the phrase before.
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:39, Reply)
I don't love,
The muffin top,
The muffin top,
The muffin top,

(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:48, Reply)
admittedly. why those girls feel they can get away with tops like that.... if you're top heavy, skinny jeans or short skirts and a looser top. if you're bottom heavy, fitted low-cut top and flattering pants. it is NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:50, Reply)
as a graduate student? I occasionally go to balls, will go to my college commemoration one this year actually (white tie and all)
Men behaving badly should put you to sleep haha
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:04, Reply)
she moved there from dublin a few months ago because of the course, but i think she's finding it a bit quiet, esp as her bloke is in the army so is away a lot!
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:06, Reply)
and this is her first year, then she'll have matriculated today :) and thus all sorts of parties. Which college?
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:10, Reply)
no, she's on my masters course, so in the second year. it's part of the department of continuing education, so all done at rewley house. we all got different colleges, but we don't really have anything to do with them, all lectures etc are at rewley!
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:12, Reply)
the mcr people are really nice (middle common room for graduate students) but yeah you can generally buy tickets for balls, though first priority goes to the college whose throwing it
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:14, Reply)
but the course is knackering, 8am-11pm usually. i am gutted my second year is already part way through though, i am going to miss it, back to just work work pub pub!
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:24, Reply)

(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:38, Reply)
I'd imagine it would do.
Bristol rocks!
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:40, Reply)
Surely coming to visit your mate in Bristol is like going on a short-haul holiday?
(, Sun 17 Oct 2010, 1:45, Reply)
Bristol is like a mini-diet-London.
Full of WIN, WIN, WIN!
