I have no money
but I was bought a coat by my mother. I hope money arrives tomorrow though :(

I'm in college getting ready to go out for a quiet drink*

*may not end quietly

You are living the dream
New coat and alcohol.

These days, the only new coat I get is the beer-jacket I get after a night in the pub.

I had student loan
then college demanded another £160 after my initial outlay of about £1,250 for the term. And even though I promised I wouldn't I lent my brother some, thinking I had some in reserve.

cheeky bastards at oxford
have demanded all my fees for the year in one go instead of per term, i am not sure about that!
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:47, Reply)
it's expensive here
that £1250 is just rent for this term

blimey
yeah i think it's the second most expensive city after london isn't it?
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:48, Reply)
must be
argh. Oh well, will just cut back on partying and not buy anything I don't need
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:51, Reply)
see, it is precisely these two things that i can't do
nottingham was a revelation. the taxi took us 2 seconds around the corner, because we had no idea where we were. i thought the driver said a tenner, which it would have been in london, so paid him without lifting an eyebrow. turned out he'd said "two quid" not "ten quid". christ.

I can cut back on the partying
apart from this Tuesday. And I can cut back on buying stuff and cancel a sorely needed haircut
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:55, Reply)
haircut
when i was a student, i used to get mine cut AND coloured at the very swanky hair shop in covent garden for free by going on the student night with the trainees (carefully supervised!), you could try that?

what is tue night?? sounds interesting
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 19:01, Reply)

what sort of coat??
i need a red coat, i have decided. this is my mission for this week. i have seen two i like, but one is t m lewin so everyone in the city will have it. the other is harrods. feck.

have you seen the bloke since the Incident?
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:45, Reply)
Black faintly military
it's rather nice and very warm. Red coats are nice. There was actually a faintly nice one in Jigsaw despite all the bad things about that store.

Haven't seen him no. Oh well :)
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:47, Reply)
i quite like jigsaw tbh
i read somewhere that you should always have a red coat because it will always look good in photos even when you don't. i am keen to check this out as i could do with the help!
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:48, Reply)
you're telling me
I'm considering investing in a faceveil
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:54, Reply)
ha
you muppet, don't say upsetting and inaccurate things like that!
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:55, Reply)
I think it'd be gorgeous
perhaps lightly patterned or with a Michael Jackson faceimprint directly sewn into the material. Sort of like the Turin shroud but in a very wearable cotton
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:56, Reply)
if it could be sparkly
you could actually sell it to me
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 19:02, Reply)
when would you ever *need* a red coat?
are you a holiday camp person?
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:48, Reply)
