Makes you sick eh Chompy?
When I were a lad, all this was just fields. Fireworks lived in a Rover biscuit tin and we knew never to return to a lit firework.

These days kids are working our fire service to the bone! And to think hardly anyone has a chip-pan these days as well.

Down with this sort of thing!

Bring back hanging lanterns that's what I say.
Right I'm off to the pub to moan about politics.

It'll be the binmen next, piles of litter on the streets, powercuts and the unions wanting a 4 day week.

I remember all that shit from the '70s
It was very grim, and I'd rather it doesn't return.

born '73 so can't really recall it. Parents have told me just how bad it was.
I fear it could happen - but on a smaller scale as the unions have so much less power than they did then.
