Evening
So, anyone else playing Fallout New Vegas?
(, Mon 25 Oct 2010, 18:07, 207 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Nope,
I think my mate will buy it on payday and I'll just use it when he's out.
(, Mon 25 Oct 2010, 18:09, Reply)
No, I'm not going too, it's not my kind of game, I hope that's alright. It's just that I like different kinds of games.
The game I'm despratly looking forward to is Portal 2. I'm going to upgrade my laptop for that game, to the heighest possible spec a Macbook Pro can go... unless they release a new model by then, which they might, 'cus the yearly refresh on Macbooks is around April and the release date for Portal 2 is around Feb... but apple might delay due to OS 10.7. I JUST DON'T KNOW, I GET EXCITED BY MEGABITS AND PIXALS..... god, do I sound as borring as a football fan at the moment?

Anyway, Portal 2 is the next 'big' game I'm gonna get my teeth into, I have tiny games in the mean time such as Angry Birds and Cut The Rope to piss about with in the mean-time. A guy at work used to work for valve in the dev team so I _might_ be able to get in on the beta, should they do one, which they will.

I liked Portal until I got stuck on one level and then I just plan couln't be bothered.
(, Mon 25 Oct 2010, 18:36, Reply)
Just look, it's going to be the best game ever made ever in the entire history of games.

Evening,
No, I'm still hooked on CIV IV. I expect I'll move on to CIV V soon.

I really should branch out.
(, Mon 25 Oct 2010, 18:55, Reply)
I'm still on CIV I
really. I was playing it last night.
(, Mon 25 Oct 2010, 18:57, Reply)
You really should upgrade,
I have found that once a more modern version is installed, you can't play an earlier version.
(, Mon 25 Oct 2010, 18:59, Reply)
might go straight to 5
only I don't think my computer will handle it
(, Mon 25 Oct 2010, 19:06, Reply)
Make sure your computer can handle it.
I had to buy a new computer before IV worked.
(, Mon 25 Oct 2010, 19:13, Reply)
Are you any good at it?
I think I should have given up on it by now. As in life, I am rubbish at conflict and wars really fuck up my game. How do you go about it?
(, Mon 25 Oct 2010, 19:06, Reply)
It is more difficult than earlier versions.
just get archers, until you can protect your cities, make more cities as soon as you can, be nice to others, attack other civs when you have swordsmen. Get your galleons in early and expand to the islands and continents.

These days kids are working our fire service to the bone! And to think hardly anyone has a chip-pan these days as well.

Down with this sort of thing!

It been supposedly coming out for a couple of years.
The fellow in question is by far the funniest and certainly one of the most interesting living music raconteurs: it will be essential viewing.

He was Hendrix's roadie and then played bass for Hawkwind for about four years, for fuck's sake...

EDIT how rude of me: hello there. I trust you are well?

Nah.
I stopped DJing several years ago, really. I do parties for friends and did a 'History of Rock' night in Dalston - until the constant requests for chart music and 'r'n'b' made me so angry I walked out, leaving my records behind, about three months ago and only just got them back today.

I will gladly play at a B3ta bash though. No Iron Maiden though, so all the Pratchett lot will probably try to lynch me with their Simpsons ties.

Hip hop 1979 up to the early 2000s
Rock'n'roll mid 50s-early 60s

Garage punk 1964-6
US Punk '72-75
Psychedelia/Freakbeat '66-'70
Classic Rock '70-'75
oh and hardcore funk '70-'77-ish
