What sort of direction were you asking for?
If it was a case of 'err, boss, I've been here for 3 years now, but I've forgotten where the garage is' then fair enough.

to be fair, I had to get pricing information for a part, had to call back to order it, this was between calls, before the go ahead to go get a part
