So what are you most looking forward to?
(Have your family done Europe before?)
(, Sun 31 Oct 2010, 1:27, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
Nope, family's never been to europe save for my dad, he was born in Amsterdam.
I dunno, I'm looking forward to it all really. It's my first solo holiday, so it's a bit of a thrill to just be independent and to do it all myself. I'm really really looking forward to seeing Snow though. Never seen it that I can recall.

Snow!
Wow. I can't imagine not seeing it every few years!

I've got some american friends who'd never seen the sea, they were so excited it was untrue.

You do appreciate just how expensive it'll be yes?

dude, I've been saving for two years for this trip.
the fact that I'm couchsurfing for 6 weeks in total out of 10 has cut my costs down unbelievably. I cannot thank the people who are letting me sleep on their couches enough. I wouldn't have been able to go if I couldn't do that!

As long as you know it won't be cheap!
Where, in Europe, are you going?

still up

I have one
I figured that in Aus we expect people to at least try to speak english, and if they can't, to use a phrasebook, so I got a little pocket one. It's very handy.

EDIT: I also speak/read dutch pretty okay, so I can get by on that if I have to.

bear in mind the comic museum is focussed on the continent
lots of french and german.
(, Sun 31 Oct 2010, 1:52, Reply)
That's okay, I don't mind shelling out a few bucks for some english headphones.
