I got a flat Le Creusetpan as I think they're better for steak.
However, before we get into arguments about steak pans (yes) it's just personal preference.

I have a heavy bottomed panthey both have their merits, but I like the stripes you get with a griddle pan

i love le creuset stuffeven if it is too heavy and gets ruined in the dishwasher, it looks beautiful in my kitchen.
where it never ever gets used!

i don't put my own in therei did put my mother's in the dishwasher once though, trying to be helpful. ruined both the enamel and the wooden handles!
