not that far from the truthpeople don't tend to wear waterproof trousers that much though. You won't walk down a street and see people in them.
People on bikes, workmen, hikers (possibly), but not just people in the street.

A long coat doesn't help much when you're cycling.But in fairness, in london most people do wear long coats and carry brollys.
