My girlfriend was interested in in the possibility of becoming a magistrate and attended one day coursewhich was designed to give an overview of what was involved. She came away with all manner of HMCS branded bits of stationery pads, notebooks highlighters pens etc.
This puzzled me somewhat. Which other court service are they competing with, that requires them to promote themselves?
