It's just the way they roll.I'm not complaining really, it's a £130k flat landed in my lap so I don't feel right bitching about £300 worth of carpet and fitting.

You can get quite cheap carpet from carpet shops.It's not great but it will last a few years and you can replace each room when you can. Get a neutral colour too.
