you could just buy like,
first editions of stuff the day they come out
then take them forward to the point when they are most valuable and auction them,
i suppose.

true
but I imagine I wouldn't have much money, and thus first editions and stuff though within my price range wouldn't make that much. Whereas rare and special things would

first editions are all going to be pretty cheap when they first come out though aren't they
on account of them, by very definition at the time, not being in any way famous or valuable.

also a fiver now is going to add up to a lot more twenty years ago,
although you would have to bear in mind money changes, i don't know how much it would cost for me to buy 1940 currency right now.
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:25, Reply)
that's true
I think I was just planning on making more money. Perhaps go back and acquire an original Shakespeare folio
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:25, Reply)
well i asked about making yourself rich but yeh i mean,
i dunno how valuable shakespeare's stuff would be today if you stole his stuff and it didn't get seen at the exact time it originally did.
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:29, Reply)
I'd steal one of his manuscripts
after it had been shown. Make a copy of it and leave it behind
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:30, Reply)
but then the copy would be known as the original
and your original would be known as a copy!

film it
imagine what the footage would be worth
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:35, Reply)
only if it the first ever evidence of time travel i suppose

(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:57, Reply)
I'd pick a play
where the original hasn't survived (in the original form at least)
(, Wed 10 Nov 2010, 0:38, Reply)
Do a Dr Who and get given Van Gogh paintings.
