Those diamonds on the soles of your shoes must be soo annoying as well.

it's like chandler in 'friends' when he is being sarky to ross
"oh no, two women love me. they're both sexy and gorgeous. my wallet's too small for my fifties and my diamond shoes are too tight".

Joseph Shabalala sang backing vocals.

A worse bunch of shite is almost impossible to find.
The only thing good about those cunts is that their name sounds like a sex toy.

Graceland is one of the best albums I've ever heard
and they were a big part of it.
(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 9:50, Reply)
Have you only ever heard one album?
It's fucking appalling.
(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 9:53, Reply)
It's excellent. You just have no taste in music.

(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 9:56, Reply)
It's ghastly, cod-african shit.

(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 10:00, Reply)
Heh, and a very good day to you, Sir.
Ray Phiri (King Sunny ade's guitarist)played some guitar on that album. I like a bit of King Sunny Ade.

i have to admit though
i LOVE paul simon. i blame my parents, he was always on in the car when i was little!

I loathe the odious little turd.
The only good thing he did was stiff all of the African musicians whose shitty 'sunshine' music he so mercilessly robbed for his own profit. Other than that, he is a total bender.

" I loathe the odious little turd."
You can call him Al

my parents are responsible for me liking
fleetwood mac, supertramp, paul simon, dire straits...

it filters in, like osmosis!

My father
introduced me to some excellent music - none of this middle-class WOMAD pseudo-ethnic dinner party toss.

'Oh wow, put Graceland on, I just love the African rhythms - you must try this not-actually-very-good New World wine. House prices, school catchment areas ...'
(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 10:03, Reply)
Mine introduced me to The New Seekers
So fuck you for liking what your Dad put on. Mine listened to shit.
(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 10:05, Reply)
I had
50's rock'n'roll and doo wop, 60s garage rock, some psychedelia, reggae...

To my eternal shame over a period of a couple of years I nicked hundreds of records off my dad and sold them for pot. It all came back on me though, and a few years ago he gave me his record collection and all the good ones were 'missing'.

I'm I right in thinking that your Dad was in the church? He must have been the coolest vicar/priest/wharever IN THE WORLD
Generally my Dad didn't like music.
(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 10:15, Reply)
He was/is

(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 10:22, Reply)
I always thought you were the only one who could ever reach me

(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 10:29, Reply)
That will be your seventh level of hell.
An unending middle class dinner party with couples talking shit.
