Really? I'm like my father, the colder the better.Although it's rare that I drink nice lager, it usually needs to be near freezing to dull the taste.

That's precisely it it does dull the taste if it's too cold.also more of tha gas is realeased in the warmth of the gut rather than in the glass increasing that bloated feeling (and making you fart more).
