I read it when I was about 15
Loved it - didn't James Clavell also write something odd like a James Bond screenplay?

Did he? I must Google!
Edit - Anjin San, his daughter was in "Octopussy"

Is he now, or has he ever been, in a heavy metal band with Neil Buchanan?

(, Tue 16 Nov 2010, 17:02, Reply)
Ask AA's granddad.
He told his dad in 1964 that one day NB would be in a metal band. AA was told this on his 8th birthday.

We were talking about the film of king rat
(, Tue 16 Nov 2010, 17:15, Reply)
Seriously?
It's one of the best TV programmes ever made. It has Toshiro Mifune in it - and the bloke who took over the role of Pigsy in Monkey who wasn't half as good. It also has Jim Carver from The Bill in it - and there are some beeeautiful Japanese actresses too.

It's loosely based on a true story. I fucking love Shogun.
