surprisingly I'm not really all that down, it's just a big bubble of uugghhh
not really any new jobs, I feel like I'm obligated to stay where I am because they "need" me here, so I'm stuck a bit

If the company you work for at the moment 'need' you then maybe you can negotiate a raise
to reflect this?

You can't apply for a subsidised appartment from welfare?
