we had lessons at school about that
it was called "responsible living" and it replaced swimming on the curriculum when we were about 13. we were taught all about credit cards, prejudice, contraception, housekeeping and bill payments....

also, from memory, you had to be a married teacher to be able to teach the course, which is pretty fucking prejudiced when you come to think about it!

was biology. Being made to watch a birth at the age of 11, has amongst other factors directly contributed in me never ever wanting to have children
