I have about 10 sheets of paper with a topographic survey of a river
from which I am taking numbers and assigning to points on a map

God Only Knows by The Beach Boys has just come on my ipod though, so it's all good

That wasn't the 'Live at the Roxy Theatre' set, was it?
My father has that on CD. It's an astonishingly good live album.

They did the whole of Pet Sounds, Royal Festival Hall 2003

Oh, that one.
Christ, I was in the audience for one of those. That has to rank among the best gigs I've ever been to. Not unlike Monty, there were a couple of points where I probably came close to blubbing, not least of all for the rendition of Til I Die which they played after they'd finished Pet Sounds.

And I challenge any other artist to get the entirety of the Festival Hall to its feet and dancing like mongs to 60s surf hits.

It isn't my view, it's a quote I just hoped one of them would know who made the quote originally and they'd be OUTRAGED that such a man was able to have an opinion.
