This is a question Advice from Old People

Sometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.

Tell us something worthwhile an old-type person has told you.

Note, we're leaving the definition of old up to you, you smooth-skinned youngsters.

Drat! Fifth!
EDIT: My old nan says you should never, ever trust someone who comes from Wales.

I don't know why this is, I have never explored it with her. But I like the Welsh types!

Chat here?

You're allowed to like them
as long as you don't trust them.

I imagine it's because you can only speak their language if you have a cold.

I like it here

Finding my rage
is wearing off as I get closer to Wine Time. How are you?
(, Thu 19 Jun 2008, 16:31, closed)
The Betighted Diablo?
I like it!

Do you need a receipt?

I don't have much in the way of stories at the moment... All the old people in my family are very casually racist, as old people are wont to be, so it'll be hard to pick the funnies out...
(, Thu 19 Jun 2008, 16:32, closed)
No receipt needed...
...it's yours!
(, Thu 19 Jun 2008, 16:33, closed)

Coz my post still hasn't got any replies and this one's got a life of it's own now.

I'm gonna be a bit late tonight, my carelessness has caused me to commit something of a huge fuck up at work that requires me to ass kiss my way out of.

(, Thu 19 Jun 2008, 17:19, closed)
what are the rules, o Diabolo?
do tell us!

edit: or would you prefer to play... oh, I don't know... sardines?!
(, Thu 19 Jun 2008, 17:33, closed)
Postman's Knock
(Courtesy of www.partygamecentral.com)

This is a game for older teenagers and young adults - not for children!

All the boys gather in a group and each takes a card with a sequential number (One, Two, Three etc). The girls do the same.

The boys then form a line (shoulder to shoulder) facing the girls who are in a similar line. (Players should NOT stand in order. First a girl calls out a number and the boy with that number goes across to kiss her. Then the boys exchange cards randomly. Then a boy calls out a number and the girl with that number goes and kisses him. The girls then randomly exchange numbers. This prevents a boy or girl from always (or never) getting kissed and makes the game more intriguing.

EDIT: Sardines eh? *raises eyebrow*
(, Thu 19 Jun 2008, 17:37, closed)
ok, let's play postman's knock first
then sardines, once we're all "acquainted"...
