Clothing sizes in stores.
Why can't they all be uniform. Why am I one size in one store and another size in several different stores. This means I have to try clothes on evertime I go shopping. I hate this. I just want to go in, go to the rail and pick out the item in my size and go home.
Shoe styles in larger sizes. I'm a size 9 foot and 5'11 tall. Why do the styles available in my size all have 3" heels. I don't want to be taller, I just want some nice shoes with a litte bit of a heel or flat and a bit funky. I do not want to look like a bloody transvestite.

Yes, yes, yes
I once bought two pairs of trousers from the same shop (M&S as it happens), took them home 'cos I didn't have time to try them on. One pair fitted and one didn't. How the hell did that happen? I took them back and changed them, but surely they could at least standardise their own sizes?
On the subject of feet, having little feet is a pain too. I'm a 3, and a lot of shops only do kids' style in a size three. I DO NOT want to look like a spazz in kiddies shoes, thank you.
Men's clothes are sold in proper sizes (ie inches) and don't seem to have the same variation.
It's not fair!

@RWH
You would probably be able to walk in heels better than I ever could.

Shoes!
Oh how I hate buying shoes! I am a size 8 and although this is now a very common size shops still only get one pair of 8s per style so if you don't get there straight away (and who wants to buy sandals when there is snow on the ground) you've got no chance.
Also with heel hights - they are either to high to walk in or tendon-acheingly (?) flat with no support whatsoever.

shoes
I'm an 8 and I love heels, but they are either too high or too flat.
don't know about the rest of you, but flat shoes make my feet look awfully long and clown-like

I'm telling you.
If I ever decided to become a transvestite or fetish model I'll have more shoes available for me than Imelda fucking Marcos.

Yup I am 5'11" and a size 8 and I normally have to visit about 3 Brantanos before I find some shoes that I like, don't make me look like a giant and don't give me boat feet syndrome. Last time I went there were two identical pairs of rocketdogs that I loved so I bought them both (sorry other size 8 rocketdog lovers in the west midlands).

My particular pet hate is bra sizes
I can be in a shop and literally pick up three bra's in different sizes - SAME BLOODY SHOP - and all three will fit me. It's so stupid.

God yes.
I can wear anything from a size 6 to a size 12 in jeans and tops depending on what shop I've gone to.
Grr.

Totally
there aren't enough bloody clothes for us tall people (im about the same size as you).
In fact they've done away with the 'Tall' bit in Motherwell's Dorothy Perkins just because most people from North Lanarkshire are inbred midgets.

and on the subject of sizes
My daughter is anything between a size 8 and 12 depending on where she buys her stuff. However, when she buys a size 8 top with long sleeves the sleeves NEVER reach her wrists.. and a size 12 sleeves hang over her hands. Can manufacturers/designers not grasp the fact that someone over 5' can be size 8?

Why have sizes at all?
It's not just girls who have this problem.
I go in for a t-shirt and they have M, L and XL. What's that all about? I'm a 40" chest - look, real measurements, not arbitrary categories, even if it is in obsolete units - which one do I buy?
No problem - there must be a size chart somewhere. Mustn't there? Apparently not. Sigh.

I am man
but I have to go out about 4 or 5 times before I can even find a pair of jeans that I like, let alone fit.
For some reason you can be tall and fat, short and thin or short and fat. No tall and slim. Or long arms. Only fat tall people can have long arms. Tall slim people can't have long arms.

Sorry everyone,
But I sorted this issue out with myself some time back. I buy everything the same. If I need some new jeans, I buy two pairs identical. I wear them the same amount, they wear out the same rate and about a year later I do the same thing - another two pairs. This goes for everything. T-shirts (5), Boots (2), Work shirts (5).. etc. I always look the same, but then I don't have to stand in front of the wardrobe and take time deciding what to wear. Just the next one off the rack.
I'm going to die alone and sad, aren't I?
