HmmI've never indulged in personal ads. In fact, I have never even dated. I have only ever dated people who were already friends of friends/ happened to be at the same party.
However, I was for a long time involved with the deeply cliquey scene surrounding The Libertines, and every time I met someone new they would ask me what my username was on the messageboards. It was unbelievably cringeworthy, like belonging to some kind of swingers' club.
