Political Correctness Gone Mad
Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

Statement
I once had to give a statement to a police officer about a pair of miscreants I saw nicking alloy wheels from a car outside my flat (welcome to Birmingham).
Oh how she squirmed when asking me "How black?" these lads were, desperately trying not to say something non-PC. "Where they like black black or er like, pale brown er black, oh er do you know what I mean?", "Yes I do" I replied sniggering.

What on earth are you supposed to say? I have no idea what words we can and can't say in relation to ethnicity these days.
