What are you buying your loved ones this Christmas? We're looking for inspiration and reckon a big share-a-thon of ideas will help everyone buy better gifts this year.
BTW: If your family reads B3ta and you're worried about giving the game away then tell us what you bought last Christmas.

My spidey-sense is warning me that it's the Megadrive version
it's Amiga or nuffink as far as i'm concerned

I had an Amiga
the only differences with this are that names of teams and players are changed to avoid copyright I guess and there is an option to choose difficulty level. Also, I far prefered my zipstik back in the day to the thumb-blistering buttons.

I got the xbox 360 arcade version recently hoping for a bit of nostalgia. It's buggy as hell, I was crushed! Booting it up on the emu isn't the same as I don't have a Competition Pro Microswitched joystick for the PC. And there is bugger all chance I'm waiting for the Amiga to boot it!

I did too.
Playing SWOS with shitty analogue sticks instead of a joystick is soul-crushingly disappointing.

The Amiga was truly the King of Computers.
Especially Sensi, with the ubiquitous Competition Pro microswitched joystick in red and black.
Happiest years of my life spent playing that game.

I wanted this for Christmas a few years ago!
However I was given 2 single-player versions that didn't have Sensible Soccer :(
Wasn't all bad though, had Golden Axe and Beastmaster amongst others.

Golden Axe!
I loved that game. I had a minor nostalgia flash for 'Beastmaster' as well before realising it wasn't 'Altered Beast'. "Wise fwom your gwave!"
