teeth gnashing
I get so sick of reading stories every week where you can see the punch line coming a mile off. Thought I'd try and raise a faint ironic smile by at least missing the, as you quite rightly put it, painful and laborious punch line by just leaving it lurking. But no, looks like somebody actually did go the whole hog and post that tired old one a mere six minutes after my post.
