This is a question Question of the Week suggestions

Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:

* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer

What would you like to ask? (We've left this question open - so feel free to drop in ideas anytime.)

Fruit 'n' veg
So many different fruits and vegetables. So many different uses. What's the most unusual thing you can think of to do with a piece of fruit/veg?

I'll start with a suggestion by one of my students, which involves sharpening a parsnip so it resembles a stake, stabbing your enemy with it, then roasting and eating the evidence.

Side dish of enemy optional.

Weird
We were talking about this just yesterday in my office. Someone had suggested using a leg of meat to bludgeon someone to death, and then eat the evidence.

Hope we dont have any cereal killers here

That sounds like
a Roald Dahl short story. A woman used a frozen leg of lamb to beat her demonic husband to death, then ate the murder weapon. Unfortunately the name of the story escapes me...

I remember this story
but didn't think it was Roald Dahl. I remember we had to write a monologue from the point of view of one of the characters in GCSE english.

I chose the victim.

I believe that she fed the leg of lamb to the investigating police officers or something...

Yes yes yes
it was indeed Roald Dahl, and it was called 'Lamb to the Slaughter'. It's in one of his short stories (for adults) collections. And yes, GCSE English alerted me to it, back in the day.
