This is a question Money-saving tips

I'm broke, you're broke, we're all broke. Even the smug guy on the balcony with the croissant hasn't got two AmEx gold cards to rub together these days. Tell everybody your schemes to save cash.

I set up an online account
I automatically play my 'lucky' numbers for every standard lottery draw (not euro millions or any other variation)

2 draws a week at £1 a time

£104 per year. I probably spend more money on pick 'n' mix a year than lottery.

And there's always the chance that i'll check my balance near the end of the month, expecting to be overdrawn, and instead have a balance of £3million.

yeah £104 isn't very much money,
might as well just chuck it away.

I work full time.
I can afford to gamble £104 per year, even if the odds are astronomical (1 in 13,983,816 )

1 in 14 million is a long shot, but not impossible.

yeah this is "money saving tips" though, isn't it?
1 in 14 million to win 7 million isn't good odds, and you may well end up sharing it. You'd be better going to the bookies and gambling on horses or football.

Jeez youre a joy!

I don't know where joy comes into doing the lottery,
but I can see why folks go down the dog track.
