This is a question My sex misconceptions

Freddy Woo writes, "aged eight, a boy from my class told me everything these was to know about sex: male prostitutes are called destitutes and women use tampons to stop men sticking their willies up them. Also, women pee out their bums, something I didn't realise was wrong until I was about 18 and my first girlfriend looked at me aghast."

At the time it was really scary...
When I was about 5, I got curious and asked my mother what sex was....
Her reply:"When a man hugs a woman, then the woman gets pregnant and has a baby. But that's against the law if you're under sixteen."
Naturaly, I had recieved a few hugs in my time, so cue me spending the next two months terrified that I was going to have a baby and be arrested....

this sounds familiar
My mother was very open about sex, and answered all my questions without flinching (I was kid #3 so I suppose she was broken in by then). But she also described sex as a "special hug".

I understood this, but it all sounded a bit haphazard to me - I was a bit hazy on the details of what made the hug special. So until a few months later when I finally confronted her on the mechanics of it, I was awfully concerned that I might *accidentally* hug someone in a special way and become pregnant myself.

Which would have been a neat trick, not having a womb and all.
