Stalked
Have you been stalked? Or have you done the stalking? Is that you in the bushes outside with the nightvision goggles?

i've just remembered..
i also have been stalked by the mystery ice-cream van,but in a more twilight-zone-esque way.where my folks live in the suburbs,a creepy high-pitched version of 'greensleeves' starts up on every odd day, when the clouds are lwering in the sky and the wind is worrying the leaves around the Co-op...there is a squeal of breaks,i rush to the window to catch a glimpse of the mystery ice-cream van,and it fades into the distance.
it's gotten very worrying since i heard it at my uni, some seventy miles distant.
it was in november.who the fuck buys ice-cream in november??

In Liverpool,
this is often a sign of drug-dealing. We moved into Aigburth in August and heard the icecream van daily. November came and went, and still it loitered.
Then we learned a neighbour had been in a little bit of trouble for selling the old druggy-drugs. It all made sense -- the van was an ill-disguised way of having an excuse to loiter. They should've switched to hotdog vans for winter...

Strange ice cream vans
I think the drug thing is true in manchester too. Every night at the same time one goes past with its music on. Surely it must be dealing drugs? Or there must be some very hard kids around!

It is too down here..
There are three ice cream vans owned by folks living near my streets.
There is not much ice cream stock, but lots of snack food and foil items being loaded onto to said carts. The vendors are NOT Gino Ginelli lookalikies!
I should imagine that if you ask for one of them magic oyster wafers you would get a blank look. A twenty bag of brown should be on the menu though...
And this is Surrey!

thing is
i never see it.its never gone by on the street.i hear it drive but ive even run to a parallel road to try and glimpse the phantom icecream van.
maybe a disgruntled Mr Whippy who passed away out of sheer annoyance at kids going 'can i have a minimilk please?'

This drugs thing
That makes sense, as we also have mysterious, often-heard-never-seen ice cream van. The sound of it comes from the chavvy neighbourhood a few blocks away and even though there's a school down there as well, the music plays all hours of the day.
Also, it's winter now and you can still hear it. Curious....
