My colleagues and I did the goose step/finger-Hitler moustache/seig heil thing on our Master's degree course a few years back, outside the German criminology prof's office door while waiting for bollockings.
I also did a presentation on the question of the civilising influence of sport on international relations, illustrated with photos of English footy fans waving inflatable Spitfires at England/Germany games.

The Kraut prof took it sportingly. What choice did she have but to rise above the childish Hun-baiting?
