This is a question Conspiracy theory nutters

I keep getting collared by a bloke who says that the war in Afghanistan is a cover for our Illuminati Freemason Shapeshifting Lizard masters to corner the market in mind-bending drugs. "It's true," he says, "I heard it on TalkSport". Tell us your stories of encounters with tinfoil hatters.

Thanks to Davros' Granddad

I don't really believe in conspiracies, but sometimes you have to wonder...
Not a personal nutter I know, but has anyone else here seen the murals and the like from Denver International Airport? You have to wonder if there's someone in power who just really, really, really likes winding conspiracists up.

First off, there's the general layout of the runways/buildings, which are... kind of... erm... remind you of anything from the late 1930s/early 1940s?

There's the time capsule, buried under a stone with a masonic symbol on.

Then there are the four walls of the mural. I'm going to use Anamolies Unlimited's names for the walls below, the official description of the whole mural is "Children of the world dream of peace in "Peace and Harmony with Nature"". Heartily recommend you go to the site and read the rest they have on this. I've re-hosted the pictures so as not to leach off them, but there are a lot of more detailed pictures on their site. Bear in mind these are in the middle of an airport, especially the second one.

The Dead Women In Coffins Mural
Three dead women, a burning city, devastation, etc.

The Dead Babies and General Skeletor Mural
'Slightly' Nazi looking stormtrooper, destroyed church, women holding dead babies, etc. Oh, and a poem written by a child who died at Aushwitz in the bottom right. This one and the fourth one have been painted over now, but all the Denver Airport stuff describes the remaining two as a 'diptych'.

Happy Happy Joy Joy
German kid with a huge arm smashing up guns into plowshares. Asian kid is the only one facing away.

Jesus and the Holy Thingamabob
'Jesus', someone in 'concentration camp' uniform, weird things under the earth, leopards with human faces, deformed people, asians facing the wrong way, etc, etc.

You can read the full bit about the airport here. Including stuff about the hidden budget overspend, the underground base, the tunnels big enough for trucks underneath, the massive over-size fuel storage, capacity three times what is used, the sonics that play havoc with people, underground buildings that were sealed up as they were 'built wrong', the way it replaced an airport with more gates and runways in a less windy area, that they shifted a 1/3 of the volume of earth shifted in the construction of the Panama Canal, etc, etc. It's pretty much a balance between how much you believe government incompetence/pork, and how much you believe conspiracy theories.

What a eclectic, fucking weird colleciton of murals to have at an airport
I thought given the general stress of airports, they'd want nice calming pics, not skeletor storm troopers, dead women in coffins and Auschwitz survivor poems.

What's wrong with a nice picture of some hills, and a Bob Ross stylee happy little tree, eh?

As I have never heard of Denver International Airport I don't have any opinion on it. But the mural
seems to be fairly "world-peace-flowers-in-your-hair" type stuff. The website you link is a good example of what you say though, the author is fair frothing by the end of it, and there is some wonderful paranoid exposition thrown in for good measure.

The first one looks like a little man about to bowl.
Besides, the swastika is a religious symbol. It was just nicked by the nazis. It's still a religious symbol in use today by buddhists and such.

Blimey, though, those are some weird murals! Airports are bad enough. They thought these would really improve it? =/

For further interest
Take a look at the Zimmerman Metals (as mentioned on the stone with the masonic symbol on) website (http://www.zimmerman-metals.com) - the logo in particular. It looks like there's some symbolism on the base of the anvil and the metal worker appears to have one leg of his trousers rolled up - a symbol of being inducted as a mason...

Plus, Martin Marietta - also mentioned on the stone and otherwise known as Lockheed Martin - had one of their employees, an engineer at their Skunk Works facility, publicly acknowledge that UFO's are real (http://www.ufo-blogger.com/2009/07/ufos-are-reallockheed-skunkworks.html)

Makes you think...

Some say there are large 'vaults' and other odd stuff..
under Denver airport.

www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Denver_Airport.html

Some interesting facts:

* Even though the area is basically flat (with a stunning view of mountains all around, since it's in a valley), the expense and time was taken to extensively lower some areas and raise others. They moved 110 million cubic yards of earth around. This is about 1/3rd of the amount of earth they moved when they dug out the Panama Canal.

* The airport has a fiber optic communications core made of 5,300 miles of cable. That's longer than the Nile River. That's from New York City to Buenos Aires, Argentina. The airport also has 11,365 miles of copper cable communications network.

* The fueling system can pump 1,000 gallons of jet fuel per minute through a 28-mile network of pipes. There are six fuel hold tanks that each hold 2.73 million gallons of jet fuel. This is somewhere in the "no one will ever ever need this much" range.

* Granite was imported from all over the world - Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America - and used in making the main terminal floor. This is a ridiculous expense, especially when you're already over budget. They say, "The floor pattern echoes the roof design and subtly reinforces passenger flows". Ah...subliminal messages to move your ass. It might look pretty but would any of us know Chilean granite from Chinese granite? Or care? You can dye rock if it's colors you're after. Cheaper rocks. (I wonder what the "stones have power" people say about this...)

* The huge, main terminal is Jeppesen Terminal, named after Elfrey Jeppesen, who was the first person to create maps specifically for aviation (the company is still in business today). This area is known as the "Great Hall"; it's said this is what the Masons name their meeting place.

It is 900 feet by 210 feet big. This is over 1.5 million square feet of space. All told, there is over 6 million square feet of public space at DIA. The airport brags that they have room to build another terminal and two more concourses and could serve 100 million passengers a year. The airport flew 36 million in 2001.

* The only way to get to the other two concourses/terminals from the Great Hall, or vice versa, is via the airport's train system.

* There are more than 19 miles (30 km) of conveyor belt track, luggage transport cars and road in their own underground tunnels that move baggage and goods. They're so huge you can drive trucks through them, and some remain unused.

* The entire roof of DIA is made of 15 acres of Teflon-coated, woven fiber glass. The same material is on the inside as a layer, also. The place looks like a bizarre (but kind of cool) scene out of "Dune", comprised of huge, spiked tent-like structures. The material reflects 90% of the sunlight and doesn't conduct heat. So you can't see into the place with radar or see heat signatures. I added helpfully.

and also some rumours
www.geocities.com/baja/5692/

* The Queen of England has reportedly been buying up property in Colorado under a proxy.

* There is a lot of "secret society" symbology at the airport, an AWFUL lot in fact

* The symbolism apparent in the layout of the new Denver airport, some feel, says that it may be a control center for world control

* Specifically, those involved in some very unusual government projects in the past, have remarked that the Denver area is where the establishment of the Western sector of the New World Order will be in the United States.

* Denver is of very high altitude and ideal for safe underground building

* The dedication or capstone of the new Denver Internation Airport is a masonic symbol.

* If you visit the airport's south eastern side of the terminal you will find the Masonic Capstone in Granite.

* This part of the terminal is called The Great Hall, which is known in Masonic lingo as their meeting hall.

* On the Masonic Capstone is inscribed NEW WORLD AIRPORT COMMISION.

* An eyewitness who has since "committed suicide" named Phil Schneider was a whistle blower re: Denver International Airport's underground facilities

* He helped build the underground facilities and reportedly "killed" himself via a double tie catheter behind his own neck strangling himself. It goes without saying that it appears that he was MURDERED.

* Phil also worked on other government underground facilities such as Area 51 and Dulce and more. See www.geocities.com/Area51/9357/ Which is a tribute to Phil, although I cannot vouch for the site myself

* In the same general area as the Masonic capstone, there are Masonic designs inlaided in the floor, such as the expression DZIT DIT GAII, [anyone know EXACTLY what that means?]

* Phil Schneider's father was a U-boat captain during the NAZI regime.

* Apparently DZIT DIT GAII refers to the BLACK SUN some sort of NAZI symbology.

* NAZI's apparently were into "BLACK SUN" worship, i.e. Saturn, i.e. Satanism, should not surprise us, I suppose

* There are many murals at the airport of an EXTREMELY grotesque and apocalyptic nature.

* After looking at the murals many come away saying that they may represent what the elites plan to do with us and world

* One of the murals depicts 3 caskets containing dead people, each person representing people who the elites may want dead

* Black woman, a Jewish woman, and an American Indian Woman

* The casket ritual is common in the Skull & Bones Club whose members include George Bush

* In the same mural is shown the destruction of city and forest, a little girl holding a Mayan Tablet that predicts destruction of Civilization

* Another Mural depicts a green giant "Darth Vader" like figure wearing a gas mask destroying a city

* In this mural women can be seen carrying DEAD BABIES

* Another mural depicts a German boy collecting from all the other children of the world, all of the worlds weapons

* the German boy has a HUGE IRON FIST and is pounding all the weapons into plowshares on an anvil

* Operation Paperclip was a plan wherein NAZI's were brought into the US to be brought back into power after being financed and appearance altered

* Many German nationals have been seen along Americans in more sensitive areas of the airport's underground facilities on a regular basis

* The LUFTWAFFE has long had an EXTENSIVE base in New Mexico complete with towns where all signs are in GERMAN

* The Artists who made the murals etc in DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT have been interviewed wherein they first claimed that guidelines WERE provided for their work

* Upon further investigation, they appear to have forgotten that they previously said guidelines were given

* Another mural depicts nothing but mind-altering or poisonous plants and animals all of which are recognized as Masonic symbols worldwide

* Most people are shocked by this weird art and are bewildered that such strange stuff is in the airport at all [not unlike the bizarre propaganda/art at the new IRS HQ]

* Phil Schneider claimed during the last year of constuction that the underground airport system was being connected to a deep underground base

* At least 8 levels deep

* 4.5 square mile underground city

* 88.5 square mile base underneath the airport [HARD to BELIEVE, huh] Your tax money at work ?

* Rodney Stitch, author of Defrauding of America, claims to have a copy of a tape of a CIA agent paying off the mayor of Denver to get the airport built [$1.5 million payoff]

wtf?
900'x210' is not 1,500,000^2 feet its 189,000^2 feet. I used to fly into DIA as a kid and it may be large but even at 6am its still pretty busy. The main hall was always packed with people.
