Total Control Racing (TCR) was way, way better than Scalextric, because you could change lanes at will instead of being dictated to by some stupid groove in the road.
Ask for it instead and boot Scalextric into posterity, because Scalextric was shit.

Basically, there were three wires each side, and the car had two pick-up shoes, so it didn't lose power as it changed lanes.
Blummin ace - it's only because Scalextric had the financial punch that they won, but TCR was way, way, WAY better, as you can see.

as the electronic side of MB is defunct and the license for the design was up for grabs.
There's a new design coming out which you can put a nerf gun on, it's got a camera and you can control it from your ipad/computer.
