Got a great tip? Share it with us. You know, stuff like "Prevent sneezing by pressing you index finger firmly between your nose and your upper lip."

On hold to a call centre phone jockey?
Don't say anthing incriminating because "calls are recorded and monitored" even when you're on hold....

Whoops
I swear like a docker when I'm hold, well, if I have good reason too anyway.

Ah well, at least all those shitty companies that put me on hold know how I feel about them now. Manky cunts, the lot of 'em.

Well, this is very true. I used to work in a police forensics control room.
During a detailed conversation about a rape, a conversation may go:

"blah blah, 13 year old girl, drunk, blah blah, swabs"
"okay, can you just bear with me for a moment?"
*silence for 15 seconds*
"..and i'm back, anyway, swabs, blah blah"

upon listening to the call recording, you hear:

"blah blah, 13 year old girl, drunk, blah blah, swabs"
"okay, can you just bear with me for a moment?"
"I'm going to need a cigarette, if I talk to this daft cunt for much longer, I'm going to hang myself ..and i'm back, anyway, swabs, blah blah"

may
Calls MAY be recorded for your security. As in 'it wasn't recorded' when you need it for proof in a legal case, and was recorded when they need proof you threatened the call-centre monkey that you'd hunt them down and eat their kids.

Sorry
Who the fuck is going to be listening? You think they'll emloy someone to listen to the calls before one of the customer service agents has answered?
