Practical cooking tip.
Store your tins of beans, soup and the like upside down.
This way when you open them there won't be any stuck in the bottom of the tin.

I thought I'd discovered this. As a fun variant with beans with a ring pull top: store right way up, open the bottom of the tin with tin opener, hold with open bottom down over saucepan then just crack the ring-pull. The beans slop out in one fell swoop with a satisfying 'glooop'.
