Want to hide a folder?
(Simple way of hiding folder for a while using Windows XP and beyond)

Place it on your desktop, and customise it to have no icon.

Then, name the file with the character you get by holding ALT and pressing 0160.

Voila, a folder invisible at first. Although, it makes more sense to drag it away from the rest of the icons, so there isn't a gap in the middle of them.

If you can't find your invisible icon
click-and-drag a marquee across the desktop. It'll be highlighted along with the other icons.

or....
Right Click folder -- Properties -- Hidden (check box near bottom)

Just make sure you remember the file path location and you have "view hidden folders" turned off in folder options.

Too Easy...
Anyone who knows anything about computers knows how to turn hidden folders back on.

This way allows it to still stay fairly hidden, even with folders visible.

Yep...
But this is only meant to be a simple way of hiding things.

That bit can't be helped.
