If you are having general anaesthesia and usually puke from it, request 5mg of metachlopromide before the surgery and 5mg after. It's an anti-emetic and works a treat

Most effective adult dose of metoclopramide (aka: maxolon) is 10mg IV. Just say that you are prone to nausea with pain relievers or anaesthesia and you should get it no problem.
