I had this problem.
My housemate at uni was a medic and caught scabies from examining a patient. The rest of us in the house didn't know scabies could be transferred via a simple bathroom towel, drying hands after washing them.

And I didn't know, until the previously gorgeously-smiling girl behind the pharmacy counter looked at my prescription and scowled at me when she handed me the bottle, that the lotion prescribed for scabies is more commonly used to get rid of pubic lice. No wonder she didn't want to smile back at me any more.

I too have had scabies (contracted in similarly innocent circumstances), and it is REALLY. FUCKING. ITCHY.
