When attempting to drive out of Birmingham with a satnavbe sure to set it to 'car' after using it on 'pedestrian' around the city centre.
Otherwise it won't let you near the motorway and will confuse you by telling you you're not due home for several days instead of an hour.

I think several days is pretty accurate..... for getting out of Birmingham city centre.
The satnav is just being realistic!
